  1. Application for the hire of rooms must be made in writing on the prescribed form.

  2. Unless otherwise agreed all fees are payable in advance at the Centre Office. Fees will be levied in respect of cancelled bookins unless written notice of cancellation is received in the office seven clear days before the booked date(s) - one month in the case of the Gedye-Hunt Hall.

  3. Facilities are available for hirers for carrying out their own catering to the downstairs hall (Baddeley). The kitchen equipment consists of electric oven and rings, tea urn, kettles, refrigerator, gas water heater, sink and limited amount of crockery & cutlery. Two microwave ovens are also available. If you wish sole use of the kitchen there will be a charge. Should you share with another party no charge will be made.

  4. All passages and stairways must be kept clear and free from obstructions.

  5. The lift is for the sole use of those with walkinbg difficulties and their assistant or Mothers with buggies. CHILDREN ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE LIFT ON THEIR OWN AND PARENTS WILL BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED, AS WILL THOSE CARRYING EQUIPMENT IN THE LIFT AND LETTING IT REST AGAINST THE SIDES.

  6. All accomodation must be left clean and tidy at the end of the hiring and this is the responsibility of the hirer. If not left in a clean and tidy condition a charge will be levied. Any damages, breakages, or destruction of decoration will be charged to the user and if necessary action will be taken to obtain redress from the user.

  7. If an occasional licence is granted for the sale of alcoholic liquor all liquor consumed at the event must be purchased from the license holders who are responsible to see all the relevant laws are adhered to. No alcoholic liquor may be supplied to, or consumed by any person under the age of 18 years. Intoxicating liquor may be brought onto the premises, subject to the approval of the Committee before the event.

  8. By Law NO SMOKING is allowed inside the Centre. Failure to abide by this law will result in immediate suspension of the event taking place.

  9. The Centre is insured for Public Liability. However, Hirers should ensure that they arrange their own cover as appropriate. It is also the responsibility of all Hirers to appoint a Fire Officer to supervise the evacuation of the building in the case of emergency. Fire drill will be explained prior to commencement of the hiring.
